Poem-Missing you

Distressed, I stopped where my knees let me fall.

Too exhausted to eat, too strung out to sleep.

Diligently by your side.

Delicately tracing your faint lines with my eyes. I could never tire of consuming you.

I watched you fade.

I’ve stopped counting tears.
